Team Juco

Team Juco is a collaborative photography team with Julia Galdo and Cody Cloud. Cody was born in Phoenix Arizona and has his Masters in Photography. He’s been living and working in Los Angeles for the last five years. Julia was born and raised in Miami, Florida and lives in sunny Santa Monica with Cody. They met at the San Francisco Art Institute in 2002. Julia moved to Los Angeles from San Francisco in 2009 to join forces with Cody officially. Their work has been published in Nylon, TOKION, Alarm, Death and Taxes, Spin, and Latina to name a few. The duo can be found at the beach, peaking into the windows of abandoned buildings or at the thrift store.
All Yellow Everything
This is an excerpt from a fashion feature commissioned by Antler Magazine. This story was called Housewife, showcasing styles and architecture from the 1950s.
Charlene Yi
This was a commission from Angeleno Magazine to shoot the actress/comedian Charlyne Yi after her feature film ‘Paper Hearts’ came out. This was shot in the summer of ’09 on Venice Beach.
Flowers
This is a piece from Cody Cloud’s personal portfolio, this randomly beautiful lawn was found in his hometown of Phoenix, Arizona.
Sunbathing
We shot this photo in Laurel Canyon, this is an excerpt from a story we photographed for S Magazine (an international cult nudie magazine). The story is called Pet and was influenced by Larry Sultan’s work featuring his parents.
Beach Blonde
We shot this in a San Francisco studio in January 2010, this was a fashion feature (and cover) commissioned by San Francisco Magazine. Cody actually built those steps, while I lined them with colours of our choosing.
