Parallel Image by Gebhard Sengmuller
Posted on July 9, 2010 in Sculpture:

Gebhard Sengmuller's Parallel Image uses 2500 copper wires to transfer any image projected onto one bank of photo conductors, onto a secondary bank of light bulbs. The bulbs can reproduce any image put onto the conductors, ranging from the most basic human shadow, to even simple animations, reproduced in real time.
