Lana Crooks 01

Lana Crooks spent her formative years in South Florida. During high school she was deemed most likely to become a pirate, and began to amass a seaworthy crew. The crew sailed to Savannah and attended the Savannah College of Art and Design. Lana pilfered herself a BFA in Illustration in twenty ought two. One day, on a whim, she made an expedition to Chicago and made it home, trading the ocean for a giant lake. Originally an illustrator, Captain Crooks eventually took to sewing and began work as a freelance costume designer. In what seems like a natural progression, plush became her main focus in 2007 with her Octoplush series; a series based on her love of cephalopods. (more…)

Jan Calleja

Jan Calleja is graphic designer living in Manila, Phillipines. In his spare time Jan moonlights as a toy customizer. Having spent some time on sets for film and theater, Calleja learned the skills and technical knowledge necessary to craft scale models. It is through this experience that he now knows which materials and ideas work best. He says the feeling he gets from creating and customizing, in the way he does, is often similar to that of a child with a new possession. (more…)

Miss olive47 wants to save your over-stimulated soul. The US born / UK based printmaker, illustrator, toy designer, street artist (and sometimes cult leader) is on a mission to bring a calm to the chaos of modern living. Taking cues from the psychology of Japanese kawaii, and the abundant, yet dark nature that surrounded her southern upbringing, olive47 seeks to create a sense of unique familiarity in the characters that inhabit her work in an attempt to deliver the viewing public into a different, more well-adjusted state of being through the visual dialogues created in her imagery. Brian Harsanto

Brian Harsanto is a 29 year old graphic artist who has been in the game for almost 6 years, and has been working with several independent magazines publishing in Bandung, Indonesia whilst also publishing a free fashion magazine called Dibz. When not handling the daily grind in the publishing business, Harsanto is building a toy company called My Tummy Toys along with a few friends. He has a character, to be made from resin, that will debut at the Singapore Toys, Games and Comic Convention during August 2009. (more…)
