Kordian Lewandowski 01

I come from Poland. In 2008, I completed my Intermedia studies at the Faculty of Sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk, Poland. I am involved in drawing, sculpture, computer graphics, artistic film, painting, and a bit in music. For a long time I was mostly interested in hyperrealism. My drawings based on photography and printing technology come from that period. So do my spatial “photographic sculptures” – results of the observation of a model from two static points. David Schwen 1

David Schwen is currently a Design Director at Mono in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He graduated from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design (MCAD) with a BFA in Graphic Design. Previous studio experience has included Fallon, Carmichael Lynch, and working on his own as a freelancer. Schwen never settles with a style or approach, and he is always trying to re-invent the way he illustrates and designs. He is a true Midwesterner at heart, which gives him his strong work ethic and drives him to create things daily.

“Any artistic activity that does not combine real experience and experimentation will not achieve its aim and would not contribute a new voice to the discourse of art.” —Unknown (more…)

I work mainly with Photoshop, using my own custom brushes and scanned textures, and sometimes I’ll use more traditional mediums as well. Even if I work mainly digitally, I try to maintain a traditional, more personal feeling to my work. I don’t like the clean and impersonal look that often comes with digital paintings. I started to paint 8 years ago; it has been a very important part of my life ever since. I need to work in an artistic way, otherwise I feel very unsatisfied and get inspired by interesting people. One thing I really need when I work is music. I’m also inspired by other artist like James Jean, Sam Weber, Andrew Hem, Glenn Bar, Joan P. A Ruas, Ivan Solyaev and a lot more. (more…)
