Joe Papendick was born in NYC in 1964 and studied art at Parsons School of Design and Hunter College before moving to St. Louis in 1993. Although primary concerns were always about painting, in 2005 he began designing and welding a series of large abstract bird feeders. I come from Poland. In 2008, I completed my Intermedia studies at the Faculty of Sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk, Poland. I am involved in drawing, sculpture, computer graphics, artistic film, painting, and a bit in music. For a long time I was mostly interested in hyperrealism. My drawings based on photography and printing technology come from that period. So do my spatial “photographic sculptures” – results of the observation of a model from two static points. I’m Alex, Romanian and for the last 7 years I have been successfully surviving in the crazy but beautiful life of Bucharest. I started my career in advertising 5 years ago. For the first 4 years in a small boutique agency and for the last one in one of the largest advertising agencies in Romania. I’ve developed projects for both ATL and BTL, but my very first love and also recognized by others is graphic design.
