Audi E-Tron Detroit Auto Show
Posted on January 13, 2010 in Automobiles:

Four months after introducing the e-tron at the Frankfurt auto show, Audi is now showing us how they might expand its use of electric technology with a new concept: the e-tron in Detroit. Yes, this car is under the same name, but sports many different features. Thsi version is a foot shorter, 500lbs lighter, and doesn't feature Audi's signature Quattro all-wheel drive. Audi is making no secret of its intent to market e-tron not just as a name for one vehicle, but as a distinct sub brand not unlike Quattro and TDI. This car demonstartes Audi's intent to very gradually trickle down its electric vehicle technology into more affordable products. Will we see the e-tron mass produced in 2012?
